Project description
In order to reduce noise pollution for heavily affected residential areas along Sundbrovej, a noise barrier was built along the highway in Svendborg in 2015. At GroundPlug, we were responsible for the construction of the 690m long and 4m high noise barrier. This noise barrier consists of aluminium cassettes clad with vertical wooden piles – a design that integrates naturally into the environment on both sides of the highway.
Installation
Our GroundPlug HE foundations were used as foundations for the vertical steel columns in this project. These foundations are particularly suitable for a fast and effective installation of noise barriers, since the installation only requires minimal excavation work. The installation therefore saves resources and contributes to a sustainable construction process.
